Why We Started Trade Blue

Trade Blue is a startup company founded to revolutionize the trade industry through tools and equipment. Hi, my name is Aaron and I am a third generation roofer; I have arguably been on a roof since I was able to walk and climb ladders, so you could say I've been around the industry all my life. Within my lifetime the equipment we use, both apparel and tools have been losing its quality and standards. So, I started Trade Blue with the mission to bring quality back to trade from the shoes on our feet to the hammer in our hand.

The problem tradies have in my opinion is everything from heavy boots and expensive equipment that don't have the same quality and triple the price our fathers paid for their tools. This issue presents a unique opportunity to develop and source high-quality tools and equipment for tradies everywhere from all over the site from the chippies who put the frame together to the roofer to the painter.

Our mission is to transform tools for tradespeople with innovative, high-quality products. We focus on durable steel-capped sneakers, reliable hand tools, tool belts, bags, and precise measuring instruments designed for trade professionals. Our goal is to establish Trade Blue as a trusted name in the trade industry. We plan to achieve this by consistently enhancing our product offerings and elevating industry standards, ensuring our tools are designed by tradies, tested by tradies, and made for tradies.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Trade Blue holds the copyright for the Brand and Australian Standards related to the steel cap sneaker. The company is currently focused on developing the best grip for the MK1 Sneaker Range and will soon secure a patent for its cut-resistant, puncture-resistant, steel cap, anti-slip, and breathable sneaker sole. The MK1 will be among the first steel cap sneakers recognized as a Safety Shoe under Australian Standards, featuring all the listed characteristics along with a specialized anti-slip sole, making it the Ultimate Tradie Sneaker.

TOTAL ADDRESSABLE MARKET

The construction and building sector in Australia is experiencing continuous growth. Valued in the billions, the industry is projected to expand significantly in the coming years. Housing demand remains constant, ensuring that as long as new homes are constructed, there will always be tradespeople. By introducing Trade Blue and providing tradies with top-quality tools and equipment, Trade Blue will play a vital role in supporting the growth of Australia's building industry.

PROGRESS

Trade Blue is still in its launch phase. At this point, we have sold over 300 pairs of the MK1 Sneakers, which are available at both SA Building Supplies locations in St. Mary's and Greenfields. We are currently producing the second official batch of MK1 Sneakers, and once the shipment arrives in Australia, Trade Blue plans to expand its reach across the country.

GROWTH PLAN

Trade Blue plans to keep growing by innovation of products as well as integrates diverse marketing tactics to create a strong brand presence that connects with tradies, fostering loyalty and trust. The company prioritizes continuous innovation through research and development to meet industry trends and customer needs.
